Hey, I realized I posted without even introducing myself... which is quite rude, like crashing on some stranger's couch after taking the last beer in the fridge.
Anyway, I'm a 30 years old French miniature player looking for fun miniatures games. In a few words, I knew Pendraken for quite a long time but I didn't look for 10mm stuff until the "dungeon pack" came out.
Now in detail, like lots of people, I've played a lot of ~28mm games workshop stuff until I decided to look around for new rules more fitted for games with a smaller scale. I didn't have an exact idea of what I was looking for and I actually read a lot of stuff (and I mean a looooot of stuff) dealing with game rules. However, no rule set seemed to be able to fully satisfy me as it seemed to be too complex (I wanted both old and new timers to be able to play) or too restrictive (I wanted something modular) or simply too boring.
Then, an announcement was posted on TMP about the Pendraken Dungeon pack and... well.. the rest is history. Even worse, I'm afraid that, when you go 10mm, you just can't go back.
I restrain myself from saying the minis are amazing because I fear the Pendraken guys could use this as an excuse to become lazy. I also restrain myself from saying the rules and philosophy of Dungeon World simply rock as it is exactly what I've been looking for (and for a looong time), and that's because.. well I see no reason for this one except I wish I was the one who designed them (SixSidedDice I hate you). And when you unite the minis with the rules.. well.. I won't say it's better than sleeping with the girl from Kröd Mändoon but it gets close...
No, on second thought, forget that last statement :D.

You know you do. I almost finished with the painting of the dungeon and I don't regret buying it. I c..c..can't wait for playing the first game.. I never painted any 10mm before but I hope it won't take too much time, I'm more player than painter.. :)
