Title: SYF12 French SYW 6pdr
Post by: kustenjaeger on 09 January 2015, 09:43:32 AM
Greetings

Does anyone know what the length of the barrel is?  I am wondering if this model would work for a Valiere long 4pdr - leaving the '3 pdr' SYF11 that comes in the Army pack to be used as a 'sudois' for regimental pieces.

Regards

Edward

Greetings

As the Pendraken '9 pdr' (which I use for the French 8pdr) has a 20mm barrel,  with SYF12 being 17mm and the Pendraken French '3pdr' 13mm, the ratios are 20/17/13  compared to the Valiere/ suedois ratios of 264/219/146cm {source: Kronoskaf}.  So not exact (all are probably a bit long at 1:150) and the 3pdr is a proportionally long for a suedois - but may well work for my purposes.
