Replay of a scenario from this months Wargames, Soldiers & Strategy magazine, converted to hex and figures and using home brew rules.

Good report, interesting read.
A question about the terrain. What are the fields near the bridge made from? The pieces of fence around the edge are a nice touch.

I saw the scenario in the mag, so good to see it put to good use, a great looking game too.

Thanks all,

The fields are a short teddy bear fur, glued down onto a hex template and then the fur is cut lower with scissors / hair trimmer, two tones of acrylic paint then scrubbed into it, with a dry brush highlight. The edges are then flocked and dressed etc.

I can't believe it. I read that blog entry and immediately went to Wilko's and bought some of the floor protectors for gas tanks. As soon as I saw the bit on fields I remembered reading it. DUH!!!

A good looking game, I like the idea for additional terrain placement  :)
