Well having spent the last two days rebasing my 10mm Irregular mins. Normans I thought I would share how they look. With a friend of mine just starting some 10mm Arabs I thought my Normans would make good opposition as Early Crusaders. (We will be using Impetus and Sword and Spear rules). Also, having recently acquired two of Irondukes excellent Viking Longships for 10mm I will soon be starting painting up my collection of Pendraken Normans, Vikings and Saxons. Thus I have found my project for 2015...or at least one project as I tend to be a bit of a butterfly painter/gamer.
I can't really see the pictures properly any chance you can resize?
Yep, need bigger pics, please Bodvoc. :)
I am afraid I have tried numerous times to insert bigger photos and have failed, I give up! Is there an idiots guide anywhere?

you could put them onto something like photobucket and then either link or insert the image into the post...
There is probably a maximum size for the images put directly onto the forum.
I have tried using photo bucket but don't really understand it so can't get that to work either.
Set yourself up with a photobucket account, Bodvoc......We'll give you a hand.
I'm rubbish with the PC.....But even I have got the hang of it now. :)
Cheers - Phil

I suppose that means that any 10yr old can do it, I'm a bit older, so stumbler at first fence - taking the piccy.

Ok chaps, I now have some photos on photobucket but cannot fathom out how to get them posted here on the forum...? Any ideas?
There is a useful guide here, http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,11116.msg139540.html#msg139540 (http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,11116.msg139540.html#msg139540)
OK, Bodvoc...
Simple way of doing it is to go to the pic in your library that you want to put on the forum.
Underneath the pic there should be a small 'table' with 4 options, with IMG at the bottom.
Left click on IMG to highlight it......Then Right click and choose 'copy' from the drop down menu.
Now....when you go to the forum and to your 'reply'......Right click again and this time choose 'copy' in the reply box, where you'd normally just type....
You should get a string of (to me) meaningless garbage within the reply box....
BUT...if you go to 'preview'....You should see your image ready to roll......You can then type before or after the 'meaningless garbage'.
If that works OK.....We can go through changing the image size next (that's if you need to).
Give it a whirl....Hope that helps ! :)
Cheers - Phil (If you still have probs....I'll try and help early tomorrow.)
Firstly, many thanks for helping me,
but when I open up a photo in photobox there is no table with options? so am still stuck.
Hope you dont mind me jumping in
Once you have uploaded your picture go the library and select it then click on Editor, this will bring up some options one of which will be resize

After that just click on the link I have not very well circled. This is the link you just want to copy and paste into this forum

Hope that helps a little

Ok, firstly all of you nice people who have been helping me can call me a few rude names now...(only a few though) as I put my pictures in Dropbox not Photobucket which I will try later. However, thankyou all for the help, it is very kind of you and I will spend some time later today trying to get some pictures up.
Cheers
Bodvoc
Best of luck, Bodvoc.
I won't call you any rude names.....Just the sort of thing I'd do. (Ask the others ! ;D ;D ;D)

Ok, here goes, experiment...(http://i1248.photobucket.com/albums/hh499/Merlin1960/Normanf1_zps07f06e8b.jpg?t=1420215139) and it worked, whoo hoo! I love it when a plan comes together. Now I can hopefully keep you all updated with painting progress.

Well done! And now we can admire your figures in comfort. :-bd
Very nice.
Very nice, though the pictures seem little big on my laptop. Could you reduce the size a bit?
once you had paste the [IMG] there is a good trick to resieze the picture to the desire sieze using the flag width=900
in example
....... [/ IMG]
"width=number" it is needed to be typed by you and beware it is sensible to capital letters and spaces between characters
hope it helps
Very nice indeed, lol and the Internet is supposed to be easy hmm. Anyway well done with persisting with the pictures.
Take care
Andy
Great pictures, and they're just the right size for my laptop.
Knew you'd get there ! :-bd
Cheers - Phil
