I have secured Leon's permission to put this appeal on the forum.
The government are cutting £4million from the IWM budget with stark results in terms of service and opening hours and the library .
Follow this link, read the full story and if supportive, then please sign the petition:
https://www.change.org/p/rt-hon-george-osborne-mp-urgently-reverse-current-and-future-cuts-to-the-imperial-war-museum-s-annual-operating-grant-in-aid-so-that-it-can-maintain-services-and-preserve-its-standing-as-an-international-centre-for-study-research-and-education
If the link fails - as it sometimes does - just enter "Imperial War" on the Change.org search engine and this will take you to the petition.
You will receive an acknowledgement and the option of giving a small donation (£3 ) towards the campaign to save the IWM's current status. OR - you can relay the appeal to other sympathetic individuals.
Thanks

Is this a different petition to the one about a month ago?
I seem to recall that the first one had had some success in restoring some funding, but not all
I do remember getting an update that extra funding had been given from the government.
Just an update- the threat to the museum's current range of services is still real and present. There has been no reprieve or new funding.
Support the IWM, which include HMS Belfast, Duxford and the War Rooms, by becoming a Friend of the Museum. £41 or £31 for students and senior citizens.
Sunray, your link doesn't seem to find the page.
i'm not sure about this. They sound like a bunch of imperialists.
