Thank you Bodvoc, I am working to improve my photographic technique (this two pictures I made them with the grey background and using a mirror to enhance the light) so I cheers your comment !

Nice work. The mirror seems to have helped get a lot of light onto the front of the figures which is often hard with miniatures.

You seem to have end up with a very shallow depth of field though (depth of field is the amount of image in focus at the same time), on the first photo the camera seems to have focused on the base, but this means the figures are out of focus. Controlling this rather depends on the kind of camera you have. On ones with few manual controls often the best option is to go back a bit, then crop the image heavily.

I'll bet he's moved the piccies to an album AFTER posting. Happened to me when I did that. I now always move to an album first and then post to the forum.

First picture (the command) is made with a Fuji z10. A compact camara quite old, owned by my father (he is better photographer than I). For me the picture is excellent.
Second and third picture is made witha Fuji s2950. I more expensive camara, owned by me, which it behaves with sharper images than z10 at good light enviroment and have better macro, but with the scarce light condition, it gives hard shadows and non bright images. Maybe the camara detector works worse than z10.

By the way Fuji z2950 is my camara (I am considering buying a z10 if I found it in the second hand market) so I should work with it. Mirror and a neutral backgorund is needed to enhance the picture.

Next step is a tripod to low velocity and then high the obturing rate to obtain a depth of field as you says. But by know I prefere not to put a tripod.

What I definitively do not like (is not an option for me) is going for flash mode.

Do you recommend a good camara to phtograpgh figures?

Could you explain it better? album in a photobucket or imagesack? did it have influence in the sharp of the image?

What I do is cut+paste from the card to a folder in my computer. Then upload it to photobucket, all my pictures in the same album. Finally [IMG] ....[\  IMG] here.

No - When I looked at this thread last night the photos had disappeared to be replaced by the dreaded blue questionmark squares. That happened to some of my photos when I moved them from my main library to an album on Photobucket. I just assumed the same thing had happened with these photos.
