Title: Spanish Civil War Rules
Post by: John Cook on 26 November 2014, 03:35:37 PM
Hi all,  I've been using Bliztkrieg Commander II for my SCW games, which I've 'modified' a bit to suit my perceptions and preferences.   I game at 1:1 in this period, up to battalion level, and I like the mechanics of BCII, particularly its emphasis on command and control.  I was wondering what other forum members are using for SCW and, in particular, if anybody has experience of A World in Flames.  Thanks.

There is a Chain of Command free supplement for the SCW if that helps? Very much at platoon level though, so maybe too small? Lots of great detail though.

Agree with SJ. CHAIN OF COMMAND is outstanding but maybe too small for your liking.

There is a free SCW download AND a Big COC conversion download to take on large platoon/company level games

A World Aflame is a very poor game in my opinion. Unplayable

Nosher, Steve,  Thanks for that.  I had a look at the CoC tutorial on You Tube.  I like the Patrol Phase concept.  I think I will have to get a copy although I think you are right that it might be at too low a level for my needs.  I will avoid World in Flames.  Thanks again.
