had these some years well worth getting
Theses are really good books I wouldn't part with mine and would recommend anyone getting into acw to get them.
Take care

I hope they give Hopton a fair go. He's unjustly overlooked by many.

Maybe the fact that he had been dead for two hundred years affected his performance a tad? :-\

Alexander's reputation seems to be doing OK.

I thought we were talking about THE Civil War, not that unseemly brawl in the colonies! ;)

Then I fear you are mistaken, Sir!
FK. I am sure Alexander's reputation was as storng as ever in the nineteenth century, however, I imagine his performance would have been considered a little below par! :D

Bit late with that, I have had them for about fifteen years and they cost me £11 each. If I'd known I would have hung on. :) :)
Strange thing is that I have little or no interest in the ACW but if I ever do...
I like the ACW. Simple armies, simple uniforms, and everyone is American.
It's a great starter period for wargaming, IMHO.
And all the British did was supply them some weapons. So no harm done. ;)

Yes it's really nice, you can get away with very simple colour schemes too without them looking bad. And still i'm struggling to get them painted :'(
Now if i stopped starting a new project every other day that might help :P :P
