On my 'wish list' :)
At last!
Interesting news.
Mollinary
I tried to like 'Maurice', but the game never really grabbed me. Shame as it seemed to have loads of potential. The other problem I found was that it didn't work for solo play, which is very important for me these days. 'Blucher' sounds good but I doubt I will be getting the rules.
The card armies look interesting...
*looks at painting pile*
VERY interesting !
;D ;D ;D
I always liked Grande Armee and the scale it portrayed so I shall be getting these and re invensting in Napoleonics again
Sam always does an interesting take on war.
After thinking about it for a while I think I might try using playing card sized blocks of wood for this
What about card size blocs of 10mm Pendraken metal? Rules on my list ... looking for something to play large Napoleonic battles; have used Volley and Bayonet for later 19th Century but not Napoleonics.
Someone on the Baccus forum is already basing up French figures in preparation on what look like the 60x60mm bases. Done as dioramas of French columns with skirmishers and casualties out front and they look pretty impressive. He intends to use the cards in the game as blinds.
Based for Polemos (Baccus' own Napoleonics rules) by the sound of it.
Grande Armee by the same author uses 60x60..I dont think it did at the start but became the default standard as far as I can make out
The Blucher blurb reckons troops can be based up in a variety of ways and in any scale.
