I particularly like the way you have rotated the pattern on the cavalry shields, makes it look like there is more pose variety than there is ;)
Very nice, Bodvoc! I heartily approve :)
Lovely work and hats off for the handpainted shields 8).

Yep - good skills! Very nicely done 8)
Very nice too! 8)
Thanks for the nice comments, re. the shields, it was just happy chance that the design rotated a bit each time I painted a shield but it does create a good look. These little chaps are playing in a Hail Caesar game tonight and will probably suffer the usual grim fate of all my newly painted units.

...and so in last nights game of Hail Caesar my Romans marched boldly into unknown British territory, (a few failed Command rolls did not help progress). Soon saw off the first wave of Brits, captured a few objectives. My new troops survived, mainly because they were sent off to capture (unopposed) and raise to the ground a village. However we are only midway through the game so we have left it set up to complete next Tuesday.
raze
Where's your avatar gone ?
Cheers - Phil
If your attacks going well it's an ambush - that "village" will actually turn out to contain a thousand screaming woad covered Keira Knightley's ;)
Just woad ? :d
IanS
Just one Keira Knightly would do, I'm not greedy.
Raise/raze??? :-\ it was early in the morning! :D

Does it not come down to date of entry of service?
No, it comes down to order of reaching said thunderbox. :-&
