Typing colour does not generate an indication of a spelling error when I type it here.

You may need to check your word-processing package and ensure it is set to use British English.

Its not the forum that has its spelling set wrong, its your web browser, or your computer.

If I type color then it auto corrects to colour anyway (and if I edit the corrected version it then gets a red squiggly line) this is with Safari on OS X
