Hi
Bought a couple of centurion mk 3s after reading probably the best book on Korea I`ve ever read (To the last round).
Really nice models, but noticed some little round bits.
From memory the centurion did have round thing on the turret but not sure where.
Any advice where it goes.
Jim.
I am sure FSN can wax lyrical about this :)
NO NO NOOOOOOO.......

He must be at work. Can't believe he hasn't jumped on this already.
Maybe he doesn't know? ;)
Surely he can smell the word centurion.
I think it's flagged to his account, every time the word is mentioned...
Can't believe he still hasn't put in an appearance.
Anybody called the hospitals and mental isntitutions yet...? :(
Dave says it goes on the back of the turret, like on this larger model:

And where does FSN go? ;)

He's inside, you can't see him in that image but if you turn your speakers up really high, you can just about hear the maniacal laughter...
Sorry chaps, been stuck on the Top Totty thread for the last 4 hours. Could ... not ... stop ... watching.
Yeah. Right rear turret. I think it's for telephone cable reel.
Oh that`s what its for.
Cheers everyone
Which round thingy are we looking at? And if it's for a telephone, why isn't there a woman there with the handset clamped to her ear?
Isnt it to dangerous to drive and use the phone at the same time?...I am sure it would have been fitted with some sort of bluetooth handsfree
If FSN is in there she won't have her hands free,

Why ?
Is she using both hands to open fsn's pill bottles....I think we should be told. :D

Are joyous suggesting that FSN is into bondage!. :o l- Please DO NOT answer that .
Well he is from Runcorn, it's the chemical atmosphere there you know.
Seriously folks - doubt its for a telephone cable, that's on the hull rear plate. Think its a winch.

I'm inclined to agree with FSN. I don't see anything that looks like a telephone cable on the hull. It looks like the telephone cable reel shown in this book (http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=hymQ-Llhu64C&lpg=PA19&ots=JPxur-BvzP&dq=centurion%20telephone%20cable%20reel&pg=PA19#v=onepage&q=centurion%20telephone%20cable%20reel&f=false) and on the left-rear turret in this book (http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=qRWxjB961TUC&lpg=PA29&ots=is8xRitJIW&dq=centurion%20telephone%20cable%20reel&pg=PA29#v=onepage&q=centurion%20telephone%20cable%20reel&f=false)
Russ - the telephone only had a head set lead, grunt approaches tank rear - picks up phone and comes up on the intercom with what ever he wishes to communicate.

Ah, you were talking about the tank telephone box. My apologies, I mis-understood.
I'd figured it was for a field telephone (to connect to other tanks, or to headquarters, or whatever), rather than for talking to the PBIs.
