Title: Tiger tank slippers
Post by: Russell Phillips on 01 September 2014, 06:34:02 AM
I've seen these before, but didn't know where to get them. I just discovered the pattern on Etsy.

(http://i.imgur.com/cSixJHY.jpg) (https://www.etsy.com/il-en/listing/108449743/pattern-for-tiger-1-tank-panzer)

It's only the pattern, so you'll need someone who can crochet (my wife's agreed to make me a pair :) ). On the plus side, though, this link (http://goo.gl/PN4rvf) will get you a fiver to spend at Etsy, and the pattern only costs £4.32.

Why does it always have to be some German tank that gets made into slippers?

Why not a pair of Centurion slippers?

You never know, if you asked nicely enough, the person who did the Tiger pattern might do a Centurion pattern.

I was going to say that it'd make no sense to pester us here about Centurion slippers, then I remembered that we're talking about FSN  ;)

Brrrrmmmm. Brrrmmmmmmm. Brrmmmmmmm. Brrrmmm, brrrrmmmm.

"Right Foot to Left Foot. Two North Korean T34's in laager. If you hop around the other flank we can catch them in a crossfire."
"Roger."

Brrrm. Brrrmmm. Brm. Brrrmmmmmm. Brm. Brm.

An M10 or Wespe*, maybe.

*Hummel perhaps for those with feet as big as my younger sprog's!

Very good FSN ;D. Get enough for the whole family and you could have great games against each other, or even your own version of Twister, given your splits debacle earlier on :D ;)

I saw this linked somewhere else a while back and I'm still waiting on the missus to crotchet them for me :( She says it's in the craft queue, I believe this is something similar to my painting queue.

Of course you could have Chieftain slippers if you didn't mind them breaking down all the time and leaving oil all over the place!

Scorpion/CVRT slippers would be very fast and you could do wheelies in them.

If you saw the program on school proms the other night, all boys are now remarkably metrosexual and appear to have more grooming products than the girls. Gone are the days of beer and twenty bladed razors, in are fake tans, weird hair regimes, nail buffing and similar. The young no longer honour the gods, sons no longer honour their fathers, our children have funny hair cuts and society is collapsing!

Title: Re: Tiger tank slippers

Every generation thinks its new... I was reminded of the early 80's :)

Except it's so much more homogenized and mass market...

In 1968 you were either a long haired lout or a skinhead, or else you were a total dweeb. No prizes for guessing what I was if I tell you I was into Soul music. In fact I've just got in from the barber's where I got a No.1.

I was very much in the dweeb camp until middle of secondary, where my hair was long enough to qualify as a rocker. Still is, even at the front :D Last time I had it cut was for a school production of Grease where I had a huge quiff and a ducks arse. I kind of miss that...
