I have been working on fighting the Battle of Podol 1866 on a 1:10 figure scale, and have been reading some of the regimental histories covering the battle. One of the enduring images I now have is of Hauptmann Michalowski of the 4th Prussian Jäger Battalion leading his troops forward done the village street, hurdling the makeshift barricades as he went. He cleared the village, charged across the foot bridge over the Iser River, to meet his end ( and that of his horse!) in a hail of Austrian bullets. Being on horseback seems to have been quite dangerous for Prussian officers, at least in this action, as the Austrian infantry seem to have had a habit of firing high. But enough of this diversion. It got me to thinking that we have no Prussian or Austrian Mounted officer figures for our jäger regiments, or the staffs of our Generals. It struck me that the only conversion needed for either would be a head swap, but that is beyond me in this scale. Is there a chance of getting such a conversion done by one of our noble band of sculptors? :D

Depends how much you bribe them Andrew! ;D
Have a word with Techno (Phil). He's the master of the one-off special. Be prepared to wait, however. The finished figure has to join the casting queue - and that's what takes the time.
You rang ? ;)
(Seen it now, 'M')
Cheers - Phil.

Soooooo tempted.
Lovely house Cam,
And an amazing price, but where exactly is it?

Kounov. Slightly scruffy village, I checked it out on Google earth, love the style and there's a bit of land for cultivation but somewhere slightly more west (easy drive Koniggratz, Prague, concerts and so forth) would be better.
Ohhh! Time share? ;)
No but you'd be welcome as a guest 8)
I'm honoured.
Just don't bring any of your figures to embarrass me ;D

Riding a horse into action says quite clearly, "shoot me!". Not exactly rocket science. :)
