Title: WWI in 6mm
Post by: Leman on 29 August 2014, 01:36:41 PM
Well here is the first of those August 1914 Belgians I have been talking about. The line infantry are Irregular 6mm Sardinian infantry from the Italian Wars of Liberation range. The command group is from their WWI Austrian range. I have painted the three figures left to right as a staff officer, a general and an officer of lancers in field cap.

Strange to think that this stuff has been lying around in my garage for at least 10 years. Behind them you can see some Sardinian infantry waiting for a Belgian paint job.

What a great idea DP. I already have Early Brits, Early and Late French and Early Germans so these would round off the Western front nicely. I keep meaning to get a Russian Division as well so I can do Eastern Front but at the moment that's quite low on the list as The Mongol Project is still ongoing.

Great paint-job, DP. If I have one reservation about the figures it's that the pose is a bit Napoleonic. Not that there's anything you can do about, of course.

Well that's 1866 for you. I have cut the bases up so that when they go on their permanent bases they will look a little less parade ground.
