Blimey....
What a loss. :(

He'll be missed.
I think I'll go and watch Popeye again this afternoon.
one of the few Americans whose humour I could 'get'.
Mrs Doubtfire carried me through some very messy personal times. And GMV was a classic, not to mention some of his more sinister roles such as One Hour Photo.

A great shame. :(

Daughter will be very upset at this sad news. An American comedian whose humour I enjoyed.
The archetypal sad clown. You don't realise other people's problems until something like this happens.
.... and all too frequently it would seem.
Very sad news...
Given the circumstances, I very much hope that the opportunities offered in his film "What Dreams May Come"
do come true.
A great loss.
Agreed, there really was something special about the man, his role as the bolshy DJ in GMV was just fantastic; poor Robin, peace at last.
I always remember him in Mork and Mindy, which got him noticed. I believe Disney redesigned
the genie in Aladdin to accommodate his humour.
Sad loss
Sad indeed. A comic genius, loved around the world, and apparently a nice fella in private too. :(
And a wargamer too I believe.
A wargamer indeed from what I've read; WH 40K, Eldar apparently (should have played Orks though I'd say).

I had to reassure a taxi driver today (in broken Thai) that Robbie Williams had not sung his last song yet. Unfortunately.
It is indeed very sad, to see someone so talented driven by his own demons to such an end. He was not one of my favourites, but I could see his talent, and very much mourn his passing. :( I will now, finally, get a copy of Dead Poets Society and see what all the fuss was about! :D

Totally agree :d
Really sorry to hear this while I was away, I've always like both his comedy and acting. I can't think of many comedians of his style that have made the crossover to serious acting roles, but he did it extremely well.
