Anyone notice it ?
Rained a fair amount early this morning, over here...But nothing really out of the ordinary.
Didn't notice anything that you could call a gale though. :-\
Cheers - Phil
Raining this morning on the Lancs coast and a bit of a breeze. Gorgeous yesterday though.
Bit rainy in Runcorn.
You'd not make a disaster movie about it.
Wet as a wet thing here.
Hah !
I knew I was pushing it.
About 15 minutes after I posted we had a nice thunderstorm.....It positively hurled it down for a while then !
Still very little in the way of wind, though. (Wait for the comments ! ;))
Cheers - Phil.
Apparently the A10 Great Cambridge Road was under water up near Cambridge. Nothing much around here, though.
There was very heavy rain and strong winds earlier this morning in this bit of SW London
Rain and wind, since died down...

My newly laid turf is getting well watered in!
Lancs coast now has some blue sky.
Loads of rain in Cheltenham this morning, with a couple of bolts of lightening. Skies starting to clear now though.
Spectacular amount of rainfall, a bit of thunder, flooded lanes - nothing unusual for a British August! ;)
Mollinary
Gusty, very heavy rain on the Lancs coast now.
Trees down and horizontal rain here an hour ago, now it's lovely!
Brightening up again. Looks lovely in Surrey at the London Surrey Classic.
Arse end of hurricane now hitting us.
Very wild now in the NW
Odd thing here, in SW Wales, is that it's now getting windier than it's been all day. (Wouldn't call it that strong tho')
I thought it was supposed to have cleared this area completely by now. :-\
Cheers - Phil
Is this the other 5% of human conversation we were warned about in another thread :-\
Or to summarise, not quite varnishing weather ;D
Hopefully soon vanishing.
My stepdaughter was at the Viking re-enactment event at Sutton Hoo in Suffolk. She reports their camp got hit hard by high wind and horizontal rain.
A month worth of rain up on Shetland, a number of landslides and a river running through the middle of my tent.. which was a bugger as We were in it at the time :(
Oh dear.
Indeed !
Cheers - Phil

Well, there can't be many tents with running water.... :D
Seems like it's passed over - bright and sunny this morning. (Phil the sun is that bright thing in the sky......surrounded by blue and white stuff). [Sky - in Wales the grey stuff what pees on you]
IanS :D
It was spectacularly wet and the bean teepee is now coming down!
Apart from that, bit of a damp squib ;)

;D ;D ;D.....I thought it was a UAP !
Similar day to yesterday here. Odd showers.....But the wind is still gusting around like a windy thing.
Cheers - Phil
Now it's mostly blown over the downed leaves are making it look very autumnal.
Drove from Ipswich to Saxmundahm Ambulance station and it wasn't anything particularly specatcular to talk about at 6.30am. Bit squally, sporadic short but violent rain storms.
Ran a blue light transfer from ipswich to Papworth and it was hammering it down between Ipswich and Newmarket with clear blue skys and bright sunshine in Cambridge.
Spent most of the day in Cambridge where there were sporadic downpours. Dricing home via a couple of jobs in Ipswich and Saxmundam it was a glorious evening.
The cloud formations were pretty spectacular and last nights full moon and constellations were crystal clear.
Happy Days :)
You don't get a day like that in Tenerife.
Oh, I don't know. A couple of years ago in mid-January we drank champagne and ate birthday cake in the snow at the foot of Mount Tiede and then drove down into bright sunshine on the coast.
