I play BKCII on a 6'x4' table. For Dux Bellorum, on a 2'x2' or 3'x2' table. These are pretty much my default sizes for games. Hope this helps?

I would play on a 6'x4', with Black Powder as my preferred ruleset, for AWI, Nappies etc.

If your rules are 'written for 28mm' with inch movement - use cms with 10mm.  The equivalent of a 6 x 4' table becomes 72cm x 48 cm.

We use 6'x4' a lot for 10mm, but also often use 9'x6' at my mate's.

We often play multi-player on the bigger table size, or really big armies.

I don't think there is anything like a standard table size. 6'x4' is probably the closest.

If you are making terrain boards I would probably go for 2'x2' and then they can be joined up to make bigger sizes.

hello
my board is almost always 6'' x 4''
We often convert inches to 2 cm ( 1'' = 2cm  instead of 2,54cm) It's easy for us, and the ranges are good.
We mainly play CoC, BKC, Might and Reason ( and some house rules for naval WW2 )

Thats great lads, thanks. The modular boards are 2*2 but just wanted to know the average table for this scale but you have given me more scope with the various sizes you use.

very helpful, cheers,

Paul .

My table is 8' x 4', which just happens to be the size of a standard sheet of chipboard. If you go to a builders' merchant for a sheet of anything - chipboard, hardboard, MDF or whatever, that's the size it's likely to be.

I have three 4' x 2' sheets of MDF which go onto the dining table to make a 6'x4' "board" - easier to store as three chunks than as a single sheet!

Not a period that rings my bell, but I've always understood that the essence of gaming the War of Northern Aggression was to have the biggest bloodbath possible; i.e. the biggest table with the largest number of figures.

I have the TFL rules for WW2 skirmish level, and TCHAE for the American civil war and use a 6' x 4' table. I have three pieces of sundeala with 2' square sceniced boards on top, residing on the dining room table, thank goodness for lap trays!  ;) Sid

The correct size for 10mm figures is 7'6"x223mm. Now I must go and wash my hands again. Was that too cruel a reply?
