Hello gents,
Just thought I would post a few shows of my 10mm Irish - they are a combination of different companies' ranges, including Pendraken Kieras and Welsh spearmen. Full details of brands can be found on the blog. http://irregularwars.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/10mm-irish-for-dux-bellorum.html (http://irregularwars.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/10mm-irish-for-dux-bellorum.html)

Nice paintwork! :) =D>
I don't want to get into a fight with that big Brian Boru-type chap!
Very nice indeed and the big chap at the front is a nice touch 8).

I've always loved the figure and have been looking for years for the excuse to use him.
Great stuff, Nic. My favourites are the charging black-faces at the bottom. Now, they are scary!

Not that scary, all you need is some mint sauce ;)

Being a Kiwi I'll happily agree with that ;D
Superbly done - how are you finding Dux Bellorum? I'm (vaguely) tempted...and would go for 10mm...

Are you sure it's not a Welsh army with camp followers?
;D ;D ;D

The mechanics work really nicely and are easy to pick up. The 'strategies' add flavour to the army lists which are otherwise fairly flexible as far as army composition is concerned. I really like it.
Cool - that'll be another one added to the to-do list then :)
Very nicely painted and based.
Excellent job,
kev
These are fabulous! :o I particularly like Brother Maynard's Guard for the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch. :D. Remember "five is right out!"
Mollinary
Cheers gents. I have to get them out on the table again soon. last time it looked like they were going to walk all over the Britons, only to fall at the last hurdle.

Well I really like the rules Nik and they produce fun and fast games, all on a 2'x2' ish board, or bigger should you so wish. The ability to take 'killer sheep' is not to be sniffed at, plus any of the other strategies and characteristics. Well worth getting IMHO.
Some AARs to tempt you...

Ah...and the penny drops...
I knew these seemed familiar - I've got them (plus some figures, although I need more); in fact, you & I (plus Craig) have exchanged many, many emails on the topic.
Thanks for humouring me & my poor memory ;) ;D
I blame a lack of gaming & all my stuff being in storage units & now in the house but still in boxes...while I wait for windows, a ceiling, a floor, some power & lights into what will be the games room...

I
thought you had them, but then again I couldn't be sure... :-\

Really enjoyed those and it has in spired me to get my Saxons out again - big beggars on 100mm frontages originally done for Glutter of Ravens (how modern is the spellchecker - it's just shown glutter as a spelling mistake!). Will be visiting site of Heavenfield first week of September.
Well Dour, glad you liked them. It also inspired me to dig out the rulebook for some planned games when we return from holiday. I might even be inspired to finish off a few cavalry units to give a bit more variety to the games.
The advantages of 10mm - ££££ - I rather fancy the Musketeer Miniatures mounted Goths for my Saxon cavalry, but where the dosh is concerned we are talking arms and legs. However I do Dux Britanniarum in 10mm.
