Title: Curious language point
Post by: FierceKitty on 05 July 2014, 12:46:57 AM

You still have telephone boxes? Haven't they all got mobiles that cost you a months wages in texts and calls over and above the contract?

If you come near Rome, I'll be glad to give you a roof, a bed and two dishes of pasta.

Thank you - may actually take you up on that. We may, however, be travelling with a special friend; is there room for three at need? We have no trouble sharing accommodation.
