The plethora of recent releases by the Dark Lord's good graces have led me to ponder the possibility of infinity. It seems to me that however hard the sculpting dwarves are beaten, there will never be a range that is "complete". We (the Uruguayan teeth in the Pendraken Italian shoulder) are a demanding lot, and will always request the more esoteric, the rarer, the odder, so that there is almost infinite room for expansion in every range.
Once we have every vehicle that the German army (1939-45) looked sideways at on a Friday afternoon, we look to those that reached prototype stage, and beyond that to those vehicles that only appeared in Hitler's dreams (soggy or otherwise). We can have British Napoleonic infantry in bicorne, Stovepipe and Belgic shakos, in every stance from "prone" (for the Guards at Waterloo) to the "shouldered arms" via "kneeling firing", "reloading" and "dancing a jig with a pig". Then we'll be unhappy with pack size and composition ( I know I am), relative height ("well, they're actually 11.3mm") and price. If the Dark Lord puts them in packs of mixed poses, we'll want all the same. If Milday offers homogeneous packs, we'll moan about the lack of variety.
The logical answer then is for each forum member to be allocated a dedicated sculptor who will produce exactly what is required, and be paid in chocolate buttons. I volunteer to be a guinea pig for this new method of operation.
I think my point is that we (the bones in the Pendraken kipper) are an enthusiastic and demanding lot. (I myself, may have *ahem* appeared to have been a baying loon about a certain item, but learned my lesson after a introduction to the knotted end of several ropes by some League of Ausberg fanciers.) Pendraken offer a huge number of lines, and they are growing all the time. However, they must be guided by economics, and we (the pimples in the Pendraken acne) must realise that, and temper our demands with reality. I would prefer steady, sustainable growth rather than a lemming-like rush to over-expansion.
So, give three loud "huzzahs" for the Dark Lord and his malformed minions, and be awed by his prodigious output.
No money, services or goods have been received by the author of this message.
(But he's quite hopeful.)
Wha...?
No need to whine about mixed poses; they're pretty good about making up a pack to your requirements if you ask politely (try it, it's a knack that can be learned).
"Is there such a thing as Infinity?" More to the point, can it be cast in metal? I'll have one so long as it's in the march-attack position. :D
Hmmm. It'll be heavy. And if the mould is in one piece, it'll have to be everywhere, otherwise it won't be infinite. That leaves no room for the metal. Can't cast it in two pieces, either, since infinity over two is still infinite.
And I don't care if it IS the 4th of July, you electronic moron, I know how to spell "mould".
The things we write about to inflate our posts....
I'm happy to second the OP in his sentiments that, faced with an impossible to satisfy stream of requests for new items, Pendraken do a damn fine job of trying to meet demand.
Though I still hope to see tiny Goliath's or giant tracked artillery pieces produced by them I am aware that there are only n Leon Clones, for a value of n equal to one less than the number required for an easy life, and that though Dave may not have been chained to a casting machine since Noah was a boy it must sometimes feel like it!
So, while it won't stop me voicing requests for new stuff, I'm pretty relaxed about new items, possibly because I'm grateful that I no longer need to to acquire most of the figures I want by a combination of Airfix figures, craft knife, plasticene, banana oil and blood :)
Well, if somewhat strangely, said that man!
He forgot the pills.....again...

Nah.....Not chocolate buttons....I accept gold bullion, uncut diamonds or cash. :P ;D ;D ;D

P.S......Just 37 now, Lemmey. :D
Is there such a thing as infinity? Not according to Professor Brian Cox. Apparently eventually everything's had it.
The mathematical laws of flight/aerodynamics prove that a bumble bee cannot fly, so the "proven" formula does not square totally with reality
While I accept that you can use mathamatical formula to prove infinity mathamatically. it is not proof that it does actually exist.
To prove this you would have to get there, or to be more correct you would have to travel constantly towards it without ever getting arriving at infinity . if you did get there it would prove that infinity was actually finite.
So as you have to be travelling constantly towards without getting there you will never actually prove its existance.
In forum terms , we thought we might hit the point of finality and stop his infinite whinging once FSN had his tank. But as soon as he had it ,he wants - Biblicals, Byzantines, Korean war Chinese , three legged cows. Four legged chickens and a Gruffalo.
SO FSN HAS HIMSELF PROVED INFINITY !! ;D

I can't afford chocolate buttons on my pension....
Well of course there is. Light, Line and Irregular . It usually, but not always, outnumbers the cavilry - although not so sure on this forum! :)
Now, where are my reading glasses?
Mollinary
;D ;D ;D
Of course there is, the possibilities are infinite =O
Ok, so when can we expect the packs of infinity to be released, and will it be an endless shako, the early infinity period bicorne, or the later 105mm Centurion armed infinity variant?
I for one welcome our new infinite overlords.
Can I ask for some prone figures to be made for this range, 8 should be enough
You're all crackers... 8-}

I've realised you lot are mad, but I'm not quite sure if it makes sense yet... :D
I'm quite prepared to make the figures for this range......Provided I get paid an infinite amount of money to do them. :P
Cheers - Phil
Does it take an infinite time to make the figures ?
:D

Probably. But the good thing is that Techno can start right now, with a small fee for each completed figure, and the rest (and a BIG bonus!) when they're all done!
Sounds like my experience of using Vietnamese money on holiday recently. Lire were bad enough, in the old days before the Euro; but to hand over a million of so to a motorcycle taxi-driver.... Numbers just lose their meaning.
So when is the Panzer VII coming out then?
and this one ?
Anything rather than attend to historic ranges that we've needed so very, very long.
(I didn't mention Mexicans.)
But you just did...
Did what? (with an air of bewildered innocence)
Panzer VII totally historical. I need 15 battalions worth. My opponent can have 75mm Shermans - seems fair.

knew there was going to be a flaw in that plan ! ~X(

None.

I tried to count to infinity once, but I got tired and stopped halfway.
I counted to Infinity plus 1.
Twice.
Infinity is a few more than fingers and toes.

Not if you use the Chinese counting system - one, two, three, a lot.
Allways knew the da*ned sutherenres was bird brained.....
IanS ;) :D
re counting with fingers: If you buy things in China, you'll find that people use their fingers to show numbers a lot. This sounds very foreigner-friendly, until you realise they're holding their fingers to show the written numbers, which don't much resemble international or Roman characters. It helps if you've played mah jong a bit, but not very much.
BTW, when are going to get some Ch'in and Han armies in 10mm?

At least the Chin would give a historical opponent to The Mongols
I would support a Non- Kickstarter for Chin
I'm afraid they most definitely wouldn't. It would be like saying that Julius Caesar would give an historical opponent for Garibaldi. Mongols need to fight Sung (Song) or Ming Chinese. These are already sort of feasible, though you have to get a bit creative about what figures you use or convert, and there's very little in the Pendraken range yet. I've got a Ming army, mainly Magister Militum, Irregular, and some Kallistra. The result is bizarre, but so are Chinese armies generally.
Sorry got my dynasties in a twist . Thats what comes after 7 consecutive 12 hour night shifts :-[

No sometimes if its quiet I do undercoating or base colours as the light is not good enough for anything detailed.
Other times like my last two nights I was so busy I did not even get a lunch break.
Big round of tea was it?
