my thoughts so far are to take a mounted figure cut them in half and place a militia figure similarly cut to make a mounted militia man.

I converted a 16th lt dragoon trumpeter into a 17th. Basically a straight head swap. I also converted the current AWI artillery into Brunswick/Hessian crew, by the addition of a tiny pom pom of miliput glued onto the minis hat !
