I wish it was, mate. If I wanted to spend a lot of time I could get close but nowaday's I can' be ar*ed; I'll leave to those who want to. I've got a formula which turns the little chaps out to what I reckon is a respectable standard relatively quickly so that'll do for me.

Even on 28s these days, approximatly the right colour in approximatly the right place is good enough for me.

Excellent, Eric. You might also vary some of the trousers' colours too to give a more tenue de route look.

may be a little more like those out there!
in fact, I think also variants with shakos coverings, which allows me to make different regiments since the French have the same flags ........ well almost!

small review of French troops .....

yeah, came at a time, we must do a little update on the progress or to see it is
so here
for infantry
elite = nothing yet
Heavy = 20 units = 4 Polish units; 4 Wurtemberg; 2 Swiss; 1 grenadier guard Westphalian; 1 rgt Joseph Napoleon and 8 French (still in French basing 4)
Light = 4 units = 1 Wurtemberg; Westphalian 2 guard and one French (French remains to basing 2)

artillery
elite = nothing yet
heavy batteries = 11 = 5 Polish; 3 Wuerttemberg and three French
light batteries = 9 = 3 Polish; 3 Wurtemberg and three French (French remains to basing 3)

cavalry (note I base 4 bases, so it just make double the unit actually)
elite = nothing yet
Heavy = 5 = 1 Polish units; 2 Westphalian; 2 French (3 French and 2 remains to basing Saxon)
light units = 9 = 5 Polish; 4 French (French remains to basing 2)

visual, it looks like this:

One question, are you going to texture and flock all the bases? They will look much better if you do, although it will be a big job for that many bases!
