well the update is.....carpenter found the good wood, then the the good wood got used for a hotel desktop...Merde...second piece of good would(or not so good) warped inn the sun..
The the door knocks again, Madam, I have your good wood for the trains....
Great at last progress, I measure all the bracing positions and instruct the painter to give it the once over with grey primer...only to find out that night, that the good (now painted black)??? Is meant for window blocking on another building...Doh!!I discuss with my husband( as he pulls his hair out) That I am keeping this now black wood, and that his carpenters can find their own, boarding up sheet of ply....ha,ha....So base board is finally constructed and braced....I`m awaiting the hole drilling man to come on Monday (electrician) you have to love Ghana for its simply complicated way of doing a simple job...

Would have though you could drill it yerself.......

came up in conversation on Thursday - Lone Star OOO stuff - die cast in the 50's and 60's, about same standard as contempory Dinkys, and not at silly prices on Evil-Bay. It's almost same size as N gauge I'm told.

Luckily I ran a furniture company so any jobs I wanted doing I could do myself :D.

progress so far has been very good...although not all N gauge terrain/buildings look right together..
Locos are running fine, and my cleaner gave me a great royal blue feather duster, for track cleaning, fabulous 8)

Progress report, yes I have been stuck in and on my tunnel for ages, but now its all fine and working...
I`m slowly running out of good wood, and I had to sack the good carpenter, so now I find that carpenter number two had actually made me three train boards..
Obviously a language barrier there...
Ebay has been a god send...
You will notice I had to increase the board size to 5`x 3`
But however I have gained another war games tabeltop.

Looking good, but what did the carpenter do wrong?

Coming along nicely. All large projects progress by fits and starts. I think it's a law of nature.
