Wooden hill is teak, I left it unpainted, as it was good wood...ha,ha...

My carpenter, is great, I gave him a scale template for my 28mm Gladiators Arena.
And I now have a perfect arena, with some printed out stone flooring.

Hi Marie.
Just a thought, but if you painted a Zulu army you could possibly use it for historical fantasy as well.  What if Shaka was born 1,000 years earlier or even 2,000?  You could have Zulu impis against Numidians, Carthaginians or even Republican Romans.
Just another daft idea from yours truly.

Smokie, you need more vitamin D,
my zulus are stuck on turn nine as I have placed next to that game, a game of 20mm Afghan wars,
the shelling is causing the impi `s to panic, ha,ha...

Beautiful troops, Marie!
If your Zulus are stuck, concentrate your attack on the short west wall at the Hospital.  The building will only allow limited fire against your charge and cover part of your force.  Once that wall is breached the defenders must pull back to the next mealie bag wall.  In the confusion, if you have simultaneously attacked the adjacent walls, you may be able to catch the defenders in the open before they can pull back.  Historically, this was one of the Zulu tactics, although it didn't work out!

Lovely model, beautiful figs...smashing!
