Ta! They're a dead simple "do a box in couple of days and bang on eBay" technique - undercoat in base colour, pick out webbing, weapon & face, shade and varnish and done! Plus base, I s'pose

Works really nicely on the "classic" Airfix figures - these have been quite the nostalgia trip!

Really must get piccies up from the recent Boys Brigade versus the Fascists AVBCW stuff, but in the meantime here's two 1/72nd PaK38 ATGs I've been working on - currently on eBay for quick paint, quick sale (seller is toxicpixie but I won't link direct as a/ this my painting thread, and b/ they're a bit big for Pendrakens' thrust ). Very much in the vein of my last few posts on painting!

Should get those Italian Wars pike finished, I know...

I have also done some 10mm samples for a fantasy army for a commision for a friend, but they're not Pendraken either so not great for posting here.

Will deffo get some more Italian Wars and Ottomans done soon, need to use them both

Listings should be live in within the next ten mins. I experimented with the timed listing tool to try and get both up at same time. I don't think it's been quite successful!

If I didn't already have so many of the blighters, they would make great light order Turcos or zouaves for the FPW. In fact, might still consider a pack to differentiate the Guard Zouaves.

They're really nice figures, DP - so much so that I'm tempted to some for similar reasons if we do move into the mid C18th century European wars that my group is currently becoming convinced are very shiny to game...

Odd to see the uniforms inspired by Europe that were used in the Americas come back to Europe for some real action

Derp, no, I fully mean C19th Dour Puritan! Didn't grip me at all - it was all ACW and Zukus & felt very meh. Then all the postings about the Dranco-Prussian War and Austro-Prussian War and all the smaller conflicts from Denmark to Italy have got us excited

Eagles on the standard - it might not survive close scrutiny but a pair of milliput blobs for wings painted gold might do it? Not as good as a proper sculpt but close enough...
