I have a number of the older ACW fig's which I think are great, just curioushow they will match to the new fig's which are absolutely stunning.i have the older Pendraken Pennisular War Nap's  which are a tad bigger than the new Nappy fig's. Is this the case with the new  ACW fig's also any one's knowledge of the two line's or Leon's advice would be greatly appreciated. Rougue (Mike)

The new ACW figures are a little smaller than the older ones, there's a picture of the foot/cav/art comparisons on Btsherman's blog here: http://oncampaign.blogspot.co.uk/2012/10/10mm-american-civil-war-miniatures.html

I've a pack of recently painted old Confederate firing line and a pack of new Zouves next to them, and thy match up pretty well - the difference is in style more than size.

It's unusual for the new figures to be smaller than the old ones. "Scale creep" almost always goes upwards.  :-\

The older range was originally done by Keith Warren of Realistic Modelling, so it was a different style to the majority of our ranges, as well as being a little bigger.

Meant to say - might be useful. I don't have a "side by side" but it should give an idea of size between the two!

The phenomenon is known as playing silly biggers.

Hmm, buggered that original link up - have replaced above!

Also, added a couple of comparison pics - posted directly so excuse the relative size/quality over the stuff on Faceblarg but my page Manager app is being a pain so can't upload there. They're actually much closer in size than I imagined - the old sculpts aren't actually any bigger, but they do have a very thick base in comparison, and the detail is very "chunky". Lots of character to them but not so "fine". Both paint up really well though!

Edit - trying to get the photo the right way up...

Nah. I was interrupted by a visitor from Porlock and forgot to write the address on the envelope.

If I could find my notepad and pencil I'd make a note to remind me to note that sort of stuff down...
