Our tourney is on Sunday 27th April and the club meets at Newlands Community Centre, Montgomery Street, Grangemouth, FK3 8QR. The place gets opened about 10am so it'll be nearer 10:30 or 11 before we're ready to start and we'll be playing 3 games over the course of the day.

If you're able come along and see it in action or if you're close enough we're open every Monday night from 7pm as well and I'm sure we can put a game on for you.

Thanks for the description Zippee. Suitably impressed.

@ Ithoriel:  I'd be interested in checking out the rules if you'd like someone to share petrol costs.

Been playing Impetus since they first appeared as freebie basic impetus. Currently playing 28mm Italian Wars and 10mm Late Roman and Barbarians (with Sassanids in the pipeline), Republican Romans and Successors, Feudal and Condottieri Italian C15th. A fantastic set of rules which keep you on the edge of your seat throughout owing to the initiative rolls which each division has to make, On Thursday my Milanese were up against the Maximilian Imperials, poised to fall on the flank of the enemy, failed to win that initiative (despite the Duke having risen to charismatic) and had my men-at-arms shot out of the saddle by Landsknecht arquebusiers. War can be very unpredictable and it cost me the battle. However, the previous week I won three straight games of Basic Impetus using a mate's Assyrians against his late period Egyptians, so what goes aroun d comes around. Can't recommend both sets of Impetus highly enough,

...I won three straight games....

A lot of talented generals historically weren't straight (or not all the time). Rules that don't make allowances for Alexander, Caesar, Richard, Shingen, or Babur can't be all that good! ;)
