A sort of AAR of the first game that Craig (Tiny Terrain) and I played in our linked campaign based around Operation Epsom using Chain of Command:

We had a similar experience with that scenario but not quite as extreme. Might try your tweaks if it happens again next time.

Solution offered on your Blog Steve. Check page 73 of CoC - you can chooses short table edge which changes the scenario dramatically.
I don't think my wife likes me very much, when I had a heart attack she wrote for an ambulance.

If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!
