Hi

Anybody have any suggestions for a mortar crew for 1930s Chinese?

I was thinking of using WW2 Germans with the boots painted as puttees (which German mortar crew would be best?) but I was wondering if anybody had any other ideas.
I've also thought of WW1 Austrian gun crew with cap, WW1 Italian gun crew, etc.

Any ideas on puttee clad light artillery crews that I could press-gang?

Cheers

Some of the SCW range has a similar cap IIRC, so worth a look here a little bit down the first page:

Hope this helps?

Didn't the Chinese have M1916 helmets, rather than the WWII coal scuttle.

China bought about 300,000 M35 helmets from Germany:-

Or I could go for the Robin Hood hat  :) :-

Now I just need the M35 helmet on a putteed figure  :D.

I may have a look at using some of the WW1 early British artillery crews.

Cheers
