My brain was struggling to process what I was seeing into something that made sense

Slow progress this week, life getting in the way of painting

Finally made some progress last night 

Musket barrels, dry brush packs for Regiment von Bose and reins & other straps on officers' horses

Even slower progress this week 

Wife going away for a month so hopefully will be able make some better progress starting this weekend

I have also been forced to spend today fighting for the French or Italian navy before an evening ITLSU game in Palestine

The plan for Sunday & Monday (Queen's Birthday holiday) is to finish the 71^st Foot & Regiment von Bose

Freezer full of Filipino meals she cooked before she left, no need for take-aways, except for variety of course 

Two very enjoyable late 1930s Naval games and another very successful ITLSU test game yesterday. Not bad in 9 hours of gaming 

Heat pump on to bring the painting area up to painting temperature while I read the forum and breakfast on bacon & eggs 

Then back to painting the 71^st Foot and Regiment von Bose

A very productive days painting 
Good progress on both 71^st Foot and Regiment von Bose. Just hair, hats, cuffs, turnbacks and a few odds & ends left to do. 
On track to get them finished tomorrow as planned 

Tartan didn't work out quite as well as I hoped, tone of blue and green a bit close 

Striped trousers for von Bose worked very well

Success    I've finished painting the 71^st Foot & Regiment von Bose 

Will do a final check and touch up tomorrow, wash on Wednesday, then base over the weekend

Should be based and the painting table cleared in time for some incoming 1914 British and Germans which need to be finished for August

Tartan in 10mm must be pure hell - it was bad enough in 25mm. The green in most government tartans was very dark, if memory serves. However, we await the pics with bated breath.

Another good weekend  

A very enjoyable AWI game last night http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,10120.0.html

I managed to base and varnish 1^st & 2^nd Battalions, 71^st Foot and Regiment von Bose Unfortunately it clouded over before I could take any pictures

This project has been derailed by ITLSU. I have cleared the painting table and am now awaiting the arrival of about 20 Battalions/Regiments of 1914 British & Germans. Apparently they are very near the top of the to cast pile  Hopefully Royal Mail will be prompt 

Forecast for weekend is not looking promising for pictures of the 71^st Foot and Regiment von Bose.

I also need to tidy up, my wife is back from a month in the Philippines next week...

Unfortunately the forecast was correct, cloudy all weekend, so still no pictures. Frosty but fine as I head off to work

Forecast for Saturday is good so hopefully 71^st Foot and Regiment von Bose will finally get in front of the camera. 

Royal Mail & NZPost were fairly prompt and Peter dropped off the British and Germans last night, he hadn't even opened the package
