Thank you Pendraken.

I echo that emotion.

Is this the right colour scheme for the Pink Panthers?

Rob,

I can assure you that, whatever else it was, former Yugoslavia was NOT "nice"!

You know what he meant  ;)

As for moderns...FSN has been strangely quiet :-\ :-\ :-\

FSN is satisfied. My humble desire for a Centurion for the Korean War has been satisfied.

More than that I cannot ask for.

Certainly once the North Korean infantry has been released.

Correct Mollinary, but if it had to have been nice in real life we couldn't really do anything in this hobby, could we now?
Even so, I understand what you mean and rest assured I don't think it was nice as such; let's call it 'interesting' then or 'has a lot of wargaming potential'...

Glory in it Leon. The T54/55 & Cent models I saw at Derby are first class. They are as good as any other tank model I've seen; details and proportions were spot on as far as I could see. Quality wise they are better than the plastic models such as Can Do and Trumpeter, and they are easily better than Minifigs.

Most of the older chaps on this forum like me, as kids in the 50s/60s/70s had WW2 as a fairly recent terrible event, so to us its natural that a model maker should concentrate on this period. These days my kids look at WW2 in the same way that I looked at WW1 when I was a kid i.e. ancient history. They are more interested in what has happened more recently. So perhaps it really is natural now to relegate WW2 in favour of a more "modern" outlook when planning future models.

:)

Cheers, Rob  :) :)
