Hi Chad

Yep Lynn's Bayonets of the Republic was a real eye opener on the variety of French tactics. Paddy's book with his tactical snippeting were always very informative and thought provoking. Tim Blanning's stuff is good as well and he also looks at the continental opposition as well.

After all these comments I will probably dig out all the stuff I was given on the 1799 Campaign in Holland, as I lived at Duke of Yorks Royal Mil school for 20 years and they had lots on Frederick, Duke of York's Campaign Anglo-Russian campaign v the France

Wonder if Pendraken will ever revisit French Rev range?

What is the Tim Blanning stuff you mentioned?

Hi Chad

Just checked availability on Amazon

Origins of the French Rev Wars Origins of Modern Wars Series - £7.20 used or £15 new.

French Rev Wars 1787-1802 in Modern Wars Series - now £25 used - maybe try Abe Books

Both were excellent, French Rev Wars especially good not just on politics and higher strategy but on mil ops and their problems
