Quibbling over pennies surely?

Personally i see no problem in just buying the packs i need and having spare figs (always useful).

If you chaps at Pendraken think its an issue, the way i'd approach it is to produce 'character packs' (say, a Napoleonic pack with 10 leaders, 10 drummers, 10 banners).

That way, for £3 a purchaser will get enough 'specials' for 10 units.
If you set all these on the same mould it'll keep your cost/effort down too.

However, as i said, for me i don't see it as something i'd use or think is neccessary.

I'm always impressed with the ability of our designers.  Another thing is how well proportioned they are compared to some figures you get.

I agree, up against some supposed '10mm' figs (10mm to what?  The belt buckle?!)
Pendrakens are just the right size and bulk.

Leon - happy days are here again- what a service.  At times Ive generally been stuck usually for flag bearers where Regiments /Nations have carried 2 flags instead of the usual 1-so your service will be invaluable.  Also having packs with command is a cool option - I usually end up with a ton of xtra command figures at the end of a Army build (saying that though - I make a couple of quid from the scrappies) :D:-* :'( :P :od.

I think 25x25 would be better - you won't 'lose' the figures on it (which I think you might with 30x30 for example & 6 figures)

I've been kicking this around for the SYW.  a front of 4 (so 8 per base) looks close but not cramped on 30x30.  I find my somewhat arthritic fingers have trouble with the 25mm/1" -  not a lot, but why have any?

I will probably puts Jaegers and the like with 6/stand.

Problem with anything later that SYW is that you need some stands that look good skirmishing and in close order, and still not be fiddly.  And I really am at a loss for FPW.
