The Dark Lord sat on his dread throne. His head lay on his hand, and the black hood he wore was pulled over his face so that none could see his expression. In truth, few would dare to stare the Dark Lord full in the face, for those unprepared for his dark majesty had oft had their eyes scale over, as if to forever prison the terrible expression  on their blinded retina.

In truth, the Dark Lord was depressed, if the Dark Lord had been able to feel such an emotion. Of late he had found that his vistas had closed around him. He had produced the Perfect One, and although he secretly cherished the idea of an Aztec kickstarter, his modelling dwarves seemed reluctant, however hard he beat them or set their beards on fire, and his Dark Horde's prayers rarely mentioned the "A" word.

The Dark Lord sighed, a sound like the end of life. He was approaching the magical number, the 10,000, and was uncertain what to do. He contemplated making the Sun  10% brighter, but couldn't be bothered. He toyed with the idea of loosing his hordes on the world at large to destroy and pillage and ruin and burn, but he thought that wouldn't be as much fun as it used to be. He used his far sight to review his horde, and sighed sadly as he found their ranks to be middle aged and comfortable - more suited for discussing the merits of a Maus over a beer rather than overthrowing the current world order in fire and blood.

Even immortals lose their zest for life, and few if any had reached 10,000. Even the Darker Lord never reached anything like that number, though he would argue (as he always did) that quality was better than quantity. The Dark Lord sighed again. A careless casting dwarf was frozen for eternity by the exhalation. The Dark Lord shook his massive head sadly.

"Sod them all ." He thought. "I have laboured as the Darker Lord laboured before me, and have piled the bones of failed casting dwarves beneath my Dread Throne. I have given the world the Perfect One, and still they do not spend their miserable live signing black paeans to my name. There are a few who know the truth, but why oh why do they prefer the Evil Empire to the True Scale? Why do I labour for so long and yet receive so little? When was the last time anyone offered me their first born in foul compact for a Kickstarter army?"

He mind was made up. At 10,000 he would call it a day. At 10,000 he would leave reality and switch off the light. Let them descend into chaos without him, 10,000 was enough. "Still, " he mused, "perhaps if they would show their loyalty with a massive campaign of thanks and offerings, I may decide not to leave them without purpose or direction, and I may grant them a stay until I reach 20,000. Perhaps. Perhaps."

Hehe, excellent!   :D  I'm going to exhale on Dave tomorrow and see if he turns to stone...  :-\

Useful in a sculptor  ;D

The Optivisor helps enormously with the wee chaps Gareth.....Couldn't do without it ! ;)
Trouble is...When I've been staring at things at such close range for so long, my eyes tend to go a bit 'squiffy' and I get slightly fixed focus.

At distance they're absolutely fine......But I struggle with a screen a couple of feet away.
You just wait....Some wit's going to post in miniscule font next ! :P  ;D ;D ;D

Cheers - Phil
