WWI as a bar brawl

This struck me as something that the good denizens of this forum might appreciate: If WWI was a bar brawl. I thought it was really quite good, then made the mistake of reading the comments, where some people complain that, in reducing the four-year war to a bar brawl, various aspects of the conflict got glossed over or ignored 

One of these days I will learn to never read the comments.
