Jacket potatoes - boooooring.  (:| (:| (:|

Plain.....On their own, Ray......I'd totally agree with you......Gotta 'spice them up'. ;)

Super way to eat potatoes: slice about 2mm thick, layer in buttered dish with some garlic and salt (easy on both), cover with cream, bake long and patiently until they're a crispy sort of pancake with no liquid remaining. Joke all you like about French armies, but they know a few tricks in the kitchen.

Is there any thread, anywhere on this forum that ISN'T off topic :D

We have gone from Gallic sculpts to potato recipes :o

Love it :D ;)

Fenton

If its any help I like Pommes De Terre a la Boulangere
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

FierceKitty

Begins and ends with French people and food (more or less).

So, any idea of current release dates? Not that I need many, but a little of everything does you good ;)

Shouldn't be too far away hopefully, we've just been delayed on a lot of the releases lately.  We've got the Mongols to appear imminently, then the Anc. Spanish, the the WW1 and then we can get onto the Gallics hopefully.

Cheers Leon :) I'd been hoping for new year, then Alumwell, but hadn't realised the Ancient Spanish were first and you're still working thru the Mongols etc :) I'll bait my breath and await a while longer!

Was he ever?!

I don't have a need for masses, just the infantry and chariots and slingers to fill out a Warmaster "Albion" army alongside the warped warriors and hero I entered in the painting comp :)

Seriously considering retiring most of my Albion army figures - well reallocating them to my Chaos one - and replacing them with PD Gauls. Of course some Fimi .... Balori so I can revert to my original idea for the Ogres would be good too.
There are 100 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who can work from incomplete data

It's a slow burn project for me, but I've actually just finished my remaining bare lead for it (second unit of "warped warrior" Ogres, three assorted chariots). I'll see if I can get a piccy out when I've based them properly!

In more on topic news, any idea of release dates for the new Gauls :D

They're still awaiting master moulding, as we were getting some tweaks done by Phil, which arrived last week.  We're probably looking at early summer I'd think, as we need to get a few other ranges released first.

What fish would take a garlic bait? I used to be a keen angler, but that one's new to me.
