I also went to a birthday party with a bouncy castle and NO children were hospitalised: incontrovertible evidence that the apocalypse is upon us surely 

Any other signs of impending doom out there or am I over-reacting?!

I only hope I am: I'm looking forward to Colours in a couple of weeks!

We were up at Border Reiver yesterday, so I'm catching up on stuff today.  I've been down to the unit earlier, but forgot the list of this month's releases unfortunately!  I'll get them sorted tomorrow and up on the site tomorrow night.

It is written, children, that the Lords of Somber Hues decreed that there would be a day when the casting-dwarves would work and be paid overtime and they would labour until they brought forth the Last Casting. This would be a casting of such beauty and strength that to view it would be beyond mortal man. Indeed several casting-dwarve will be struck blind, or pluck out their own eyes for there could be nothing else worth seeing. The Darker Lord himself will shed a tear and the Lords of Somber Hues will gather together, with all their slaves, concubines, clones and casting-dwarves, and all will marvel at the Last Casting.

Then the Lords of Somber Hues will speak one to another and they will say "this Last Casting is surely perfection. There is nothing more that can be done. We shall slay the casting dwarves, and feast upon our slaves, and turn our faces from the world of man." This they will do, and the world of man shall become dimmed and lifeless and an Evil Empire will rise again and there will be times of frustration, tedium and poverty for man.

Before the Darker Lords turn away, they shall take the Last Cast and it shall be put away in the safe keeping of the strangest of creatures, the one that is neither man nor woman, neither Rus nor Angle Rose, but both. The Last Casting, the Perfect, the End of The World shall indeed be Sent to Uri-Anne.

Thank you Leon and Dave and everyone else for what you do. You obviously have a great love for the hobby, an undimmed enthusiasm and a masochistic streak a mile wide. You put up with the idiots on the forum (Ahem!  ) giving you gyp and demanding pics ('cos p-i-c-s spell) and requesting everything from an Egyptian Chariot to a Space Ranger via a balrog and (Ahem again!  ) a Centurion tank.

You get the orders out and, as we've discussed before, you're not earning huge amounts. (I believe the second home in the Maldives may no not be possible) You don't ever seem to sleep and your holidays are greeted with wails and sackcloth and ashes.

So, genuinely may I say a big thank you to everyone at Pendraken without whom we (the dumplings in the Pendraken stew) would probably be hanging on street corners, incarcerated or worse still, slaves of the Evil Empire.
