online transaction refused

today I tried to place an online order for some figures and paints. when I reached the checkout stage what did I find but the dreaded paypal icon though it did seem to indicate that I could pay with my credit card and by pas the paypal catch twentytwo. several very frustrating attempts later I gave up. each time I tried I received a notification that I should use a different card. I know that Paypal has unilaterally suspended my account with them and despite all attempts I cannot seem to get it reactivated. at my time of life (60) I am not prepared to jump through Paypal hoops and have resigned to having nothing more to do with it or its associated company Ebay. it irks that my card is accepted without problems elsewhere  Eg amazon et al and it just means tha I shall have to take any future business elsewhere.

I think I should be called luddite lol I'm not quite a technophobe just nearly one. tried ringing but went straight to voice mail gees how I hate that and refuse to leave a message on those things as I never know what to say on them did send an e mail awaiting a reply. If you like paypal it judt means they have not suspended your account....YET just wait till they do trying to contact them is useless aso I still don't know what they want me to do to reinstate it. at my age have just decided to boycott paypal and ebay lol

I've just had two e-mails from pendraken . one says order received and will be dispatched and a second saying to just e-mail the order now I wonder which one is right? maybe someone or something is telling me to stick to 15mms I'll just have to wait three weeks and find out what happens.

Thanks for the order, and apologies for any trouble with PayPal, they can be a pest at times.  We've got the order here, and I've just popped an email through for you about sorting the payment.

Apologies for that, I must have been out on some errands, but I'll be here now 'til about 1am if you'd like to give us a ring.

The order confirmation email is automated, and gets sent out as soon as the order is confirmed through the website.  The other email was from Dave, I don't think he'd seen that the order had already come through.  Once we get the payment sorted out, it'll be about 10 days to receiving the package, so you won't have to wait 3 weeks!

Never had a problem with PayPal; any problems I bleed all over my credit card issuer.  There's a phishing scam around at the moment where an e-mail purporting to be from PayPal states your account has been frozen and invites you to visit the site to re-enter your details - yeah, right

naw the paypal trolls have definitely suspended my account and trying to get in contact to re activate I just gave up was getting nowhere it seems that they don't want to speak to you at all email or anyotherwise.
