Hi, I have known about Pendraken figures for ages but only found this form by chance the other day.  I have a few armies in 10mm but until I came across the Who Wants Mongols thread that I became interested. I have already posted my thoughts on that thread.

Been wargaming for many decades in most periods and scales although now I have gravitated to the smaller sized chaps -mostly 6mm and 10mm.

I have a strange -even by my standards- fascination for the Mongols which began four decades ago when I found a book on them in the local library, written by Dupuy and Dupuy and was hooked from almost the first page.

Welcome aboard the good ship Pendraken Subedai.

Your spark of fascination with the mongols has echoes of my own with the Zulu's, I shall look up the book you mentioned, it sounds like it's worth a read.

Cheers

If you read french, la Bande-dessinée (comic) "Le Khan" by Houot and Simon Rocca is a good historical one on Temudjin.

Salut!

May your association with the Pendraken forum be long and may you enjoy your time with us, the monks in the Pendraken scriptorum.

I haven't said anything recently, 'cos they've all gone Mongol mad. Personally I'm not that bothered. Only Mongol of interest is the one who got the telegram in "Blazing Saddles". He was funny.

I do hope you will be able to maintain the high intellectual standards that we set for ourselves in the discussion threads.

Unfortunately, my French is limited to what I remember from school...and that was too long ago to remember! Although it did keep me out of trouble while on holiday in Tunisia.

Really? Wasn't that where Flash Gordon went? ... or was it a dynasty of Indian rulers? No, it's an old device for squeezing the water out of wet clothes.
