Been giving the French Chasseurs and Hussars some thought. May be possible to do them using the C19th Italian light cavalry figure with a bit of filing, eg. the epaulettes would have to go, but then it's basically a paint job giving the Hussars white braid and the Chasseurs black braid.

Good stuff. Good  to see more WWI. And to see that I'm not the only one using easily war French with late war Germans!

Also takes me back to see chalk roads and trenches - used to do that many years ago.

Thanks for looking Fred,  I promise I will paint my early war  Germans  I expect them to be done by 2018 at the rate I paint!

I put  the trenches down to chalky soil in the region.  :-\
