We've just had our 5000th registration, so that would be 1191 real members, and 3809 Spammers who I've rejected.  You'd think they'd have something better to do...

A quick look shows around 700 of the 1189 have logged in within the last 12 months, so that's not too bad I think?  There are quite a few who have never logged in at all, but they're generally all email addresses which I recognise from customer orders.  Maybe they use it as a way of receiving the monthly newsletter?

We could do that, but it might put some people off?  Usually I do a few searches, one through Google, one through our own emails, etc. and see what comes up.  If both searches draw a blank, then I leave them hanging for a while in case.  It's worked OK so far, with only a couple slipping through the gaps.

You should be careful. Some foreigners can read but it's difficult for them to write english ( may be for me too, but you've been nice enough, nobody told me..    )
They may suscribe only to follow some threads.
