If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!

;D ;D ;D It's the plaid trousers and waistcoat the guy's wearing that really set it off.
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.

Ah, but 3K what? If it's roubles it's a bargain. But you have to pay the sculptor's airfare!

You had to ask permission -- you couldn't surprise someone with a model of themselves!  ;D

To be brutally honest....Those life sized mannequins aren't as good as the little models in the 'I had to look twice thread'.
Or am I being mean ? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Escapees from Thunderbirds.
Do you think someone could do a 10mm version of them, probably look more life like. Still it was 1972. Do you think there is a +41 version.  So Leon, a whole new market 10mm sculpts of the forum mob. scary thought.

Shecky

These were offered by Neiman Marcus, a very upscale department store in the U.S. They come out with outlandish "his & hers" Christmas gifts every year more as a way to get free publicity than to actually drive sales of the items.

I found a comment about the mannequins from Stanley Marcus:

"There were two idea pages that year, neither was very successful from the point of view of sales but which did generate good publicity. The first gift was "His and Her" lifesize dummies made to reproduce the image of anyone the buyer chose... These dummies, operated by a remote control button that could be cued in to laugh at the most inane of jokes, could even be sent as proxies to sit in at a dull party. It proved not to be one of my best ideas."

On a side note, I used to live 100 yards away from Stanley Marcus. He, of course, lived in a multi-million dollar home. I lived in a cinder block duplex across a creek behind his compound.
