Hanoverian Army of Observation questions

I'm considering a campaign using the forces that finally engaged at Hastenbeck & I have a few questions about choosing the appropriate models.

1. The Hanoverian army pack includes British dragoons & grenadiers, which makes sense. But what models do I use to represent Hanoverian line cavalry?

2. Also, what models do I use for Luckner's Hussars wearing mirlton & for mounted jagers?

3. The Hesse-Kassel cavalry wore oak leaves on their tricorns to keep them from being confused with French cavalry wearing the same color of uniform. Should I use French or Prussian models for the Hessian line cavalry?

4. The Buckeburg Carabiners wore a "Spanish-style helmet with a brown bearskin". Is there a model of SYW cavalry wearing bearskins?

5. Where can I get flags for all of the regiments in the Hanoverian Army of Observation?

I know that at 10mm some uniform details won't matter, but I'd like to get close.  Thanks.

1.  Personally I used Prussian for Hanoverian and Hessian line cavalry to avoid the British cropped tails.  As the Hessian uniform converged with the Prussian as time went on e.g. post 1760 and my army is designed for 1758-62 I wasn't too concerned.

2.  Haven't got that far yet - my Hussars may well be Hessian in which case I'll use Prussian.

3.  Prussian as noted above.

4.  Not yet ... but Phil (Techno) is modifying French line cavalry from tricorne to bearskin for me to represent German regiments (and some French that adopted it during the war) - not sure they'd fit Buckeberg mind you.

5.  I basically use Kronoskaf (which has almost all of them) and fiddle with the image, create a facing image for the other side of the flag and print on paper.

elainepat,

Regarding the Hanoverian cavalry there was a discussion on the subject in this thread:

The conclusion was to use Austrian dragoons and file off the lapels/cartouche-box as applicable. Luckner's hussars (1st uniform) would definitely be Prussian in appearance, either wearing the pelisse as a jacket or "flung".

I have no information on the other nations.
When you realise we're all mad, life makes a lot more sense.
