Just catching "Troy" on TV.  Not exactly a great authority for ancient and later pikes(!) but if you want to see what I mean about lighter pike shafts, it has them by the CGI thousand!

Gorgeous, Kev. Royal-Vaisseaux in fact, hence the royal-blue facings. Formed from the sailors of the fleet. Their flag had a big golden galleon in the centre.

This french regiment still exists today. His name is "43ème Régiment d'Infanterie" and for the french speaking people interested, here is the official site :

Managed to base Le Roi and  Garde Francaise ,  Hecoma i may get time towards the end of this lot if any ones interested, i need to invest in a new camera first as i keep coaxing the lens out on this one but it,s going to give up soon
