How about some NWMP for a Wild West scenario with a difference?

Or some cowboys/gun slingers please?
One should try everything in life, except for incest and folk-dancing....

Hi

I think people have this sort of vision of mounties:-

Unfortunate that the lemon squeezer has the indents in the wrong spots for NZ or US troops  otherwise they'd have my vote too :).

Where's the lumberjack?

He sleeps all night and he works all day.
He's a lumberjack, and he's okay.

Where's the lumberjack?

He's the one pressing wild flowers, out of shot.

I thought there were Canadian cavalry in pillbox hats already available. Aren't there also Confederates, Boers, Communards and C19th civilians that might be suitable?

The Canadian cavalry in pillbox are is shell or stable jacket and are only equipped with sword/pistol as appropriate for mounted militia in the 1860s.

Ah the magic of the movies! Alas my post was an attempt to be based on what they wore in the early years. The current RCMP full dress with the 'hat' obviously recalls the days when that was  what they wore everyday in the North West Mounted Police. Not sure when the 'hat' came in though though this Bryan Fosten plate shows a 'Mountie' (NWMP) in 1897 (Diamond Jubilee job presumably).
