Does anyone know where I can buy sandbags/sandbag emplacements in 10mm? I would like to have some to protect the gun and crew I'm putting on the Pendraken Nile steamer. Or do I have to resort to green stuff? My modelling skills are zero so I'd be wary of this!

Try a trip to the health food shop. My fortified position at Pork's Drift (a little-known engagement of the Zulu wars) is surrounded by barricades of Mexican black beans, heavily insect-proofed. The closest I'm likely to come to getting any Mexicans on the 10 mm table, I fear.

GR199 in the WWII German range might fit the bill.

If you do end up making them - I made two* thin rolls of modelling clay and flattened them together to make a long sandbag profile. Then used the back of a knife to make an indentation between sandbags.
* By using two rolls instead of one you get a bit of a seam line running up the side. For a bit of extra detail I used a bit of nylon woven fabric when I flattened them to give a bit of texture. You only get one strip at a time though.
