Next Monday (15th) BBC NI will be showing an hour long program on the siege of Derry. It might be good, it might be rubbish, but how often does this period make it on to TV?

For those not in Northern Ireland, but in the UK you can probably watch it after broadcast on the iPlayer, or if you have digital TV with all the regional channels you can probably get BBC NI live.

Thanks for the heads-up, clib - I'll be watching this (set to record on Sky) - even though I know in advance that the consequence will be a dent in the finances and an increase in the lead mountain  :)

Hi

Can`t wait .

Sky channel 953, 10.35, mon the 15th.

It looks like it`s putting the siege in the context  it played in the europe wide conflict.

Cheers for the heads up

I've been looking at the LoA range  as I've just finished reading Orange and Green A Tale of the Boyne and Limerick by G.A.Henty

The book is free on the Kindle

Ok so he has some dubious views on somethings but he seemed reasonably balanced

This was quite good in the end...
If I were creating Pendraken I wouldn't mess about with Romans and  Mongols  I would have started with Centurions , eight o'clock, Day One!
