I've never had that sort of problem.  In fact, when I was looking for a green for SYW Russians the guy couldn't be more helpful- even put some on a figure so I could see if it was the right shade.
I have neither the time nor the crayons to explain why you are wrong.

I went in to the local GW a couple of weeks ago, and the guy was really helpful.  Talkied about undercoating WSS Prussians.  Didn't try and get me to do any WH, and showed me some painting tips on one of their figures

Those guys get fired pretty fast in my experience. A pitty but then again I am neither a shareholder nor a manager @ GW so I do not mind them shooting themselves in the leg repeatedly....
