GW discontinuing Warmaster

People on TMP are reporting that GW is discontinuing Warmaster and other Specialist Games (http://theminiaturespage.com/boards/msg.mv?id=304300 and http://theminiaturespage.com/boards/msg.mv?id=304476). Perhaps a chance to promote and update Pendraken's fantasy range? To fit with Warmaster (and Pendraken's historical ranges) the figures would have to be smaller though - like Barbarian's Chaos Warriors (hint).

One of the biggest gaps that will be left by the loss of Warmaster is Chaos (with demons being the other)

We picked up a lot of sales back when WM was new, but it really tailed off over the last 5 years.  I can't see us resculpting the entire Fantasy range at this point!  We might update some of them over the next couple of years though.

Makes sense from GWs stance. They want us to buy millions of 28mms. For me 28mms is Skirmish, 6-10mms is for hordes.

Keeps Gaming affordable and keeps getting Leoon some of my $$.

Crap, i needed a final thunderhawk from the epic range, and then my army would have been finished.

Let's see if i can still get a hold of one, would have been my final gw purchase...

We dont want them sculpted smaller, we want the historicals to be sculpted bigger so we can use them in WM armies.

It is a pity to see it go. I did like some of their warmaster stuff. Good for characters and odd units.

I was long harbering a hope to get a skaven army, but looks as if that is just a pipe dream now.

Unless anyone has some GW skaven for sale?

Pendraken do a range of ratty men. ok no screaming bell of Doom but the basic troop types are there.
